Traders, Manufacturers, Farmers, Brokers and Sales Agents of Grains and other Commodities: the Members of Granaria.
The Associazione Granaria of Milano was born in January 1902 following the traditional trading activity of grains, foodstuffs for human consumption and feedstuffs for animal consumption, today defined as commodities. Such activity in the Middle Ages was held in one of Milan’s central squares called Piazza dei Mercanti.
Its main mission is to ensure fair market conditions for grains and other agricultural products in Milano, the most important business area in Italy. For this reason it organizes market sessions, fixes business conditions for the trading of goods, settles potential controversies through the informal arbitration procedure and provides the price of goods.
